Here's the thing. Most atheists claim to be open-minded, which is often also their reason for being an atheist. To them, the concept of God is beneath their scientific and well-educated minds. Oftentimes they are vehemently hostile in defending what they believe.
So you're trying to tell me that you haven't seen or found proof of God's existence? Alright, I believe you.
But give me also irrefutable evidence of His non-existence. Have you really exhausted every resource you can find in every field possible, explored every aspect of life, understood each law of science (known or yet to be discovered) to honestly say you know for a fact that God doesn't exist? No.
Well, you're free to believe what you will... but condemning something just because you cannot understand it or because it seems too strange, is called "narrow-mindedness"; which is the lack of breadth in perspective and viewpoint.
A classic argument is that God cannot be seen and therefore doesn't exist. Yet you would fully agree with me that gravity is real, as is oxygen. The thing is, if Newton hadn't pointed out that what made the apple fall was in fact gravity, would you have known it? Or if Tesla (the man's a genius!) hadn't revealed the existence of alternating current, would we be using it today? Of course not! So it's okay to say you don't know.
Most atheists also believe in evolution... which is ironic considering the fact that carbon-14 dating is faulty, and that the theory of evolution remains to this day, just that.. a THEORY. Not a LAW. That means it's never been proven. Darwin probably thought, "I can't believe these simpletons actually fell for that!"
Obviously I'm exaggerating. But who knows? :-P
Evolutionism's just another proposed explanation for creation, pretty much like the Big Bang Theory.

I'd like to think of all these theories as fables scientists believe in in the meantime while searching for evidence to endorse said fables.
Then again, maybe God did create the universe through a big bang... just that the specifics aren't how you imagined them to be. And I think I hear the atheists chime, "The theists have a way of rationalising everything to make it look like God was behind it."

So what if God was behind it? Why is that a problem?
What if it's actually the truth?
All I'm saying is that it's the ATTITUDE that matters. Are you being absolutely honest with yourself? Or are you just hating for the sake of hating 'cause in some circles it's the cooler thing to do? Or maybe there are things you just don't understand. Maybe you've given up in frustration and ruled out the possibility that we were each made intentionally and with a destiny to fulfil... 'cause thinking in such a way would open you up to a vault of questions you're afraid you don't have answers for.
Why be cut off from the endless possibilities?
Haven't got an answer? Look for it.
Don't limit yourself.
Hahahaha. Nice. If life is so scientific as those people put it, then miracles won't happen. People who've experienced miracles will believe. Those who haven't, turn out to be sourpusses! :D
ReplyDeletecan i believe in both? that God watches over us, but it is not defined by religion. after all, religion does say, if you don't believe in their religion, you go to hell. So an individual surely does not belong in two religions so all of us are bound to go to hell
